Premium chelating agents, defoamers, and coagulants tailored to comply with Germany's strict Federal Water Act (WHG) requirements.
Hamburg stands as the economic core of Northern Germany, anchored by the massive Port of Hamburg (Hafen Hamburg), extensive shipbuilding and repair yards, major non-ferrous metal smelting operations (such as copper refining plants), and specialized chemical parks in neighboring regions like Stade and Brunsbüttel. These industries generate massive amounts of process effluents loaded with toxic heavy metal ions like copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and zinc (Zn).
Under the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD) and Germany's local federal regulations (including the Abwasserverordnung - AbwV), industries must restrict discharges into public sewage systems and natural water bodies to sub-ppm levels. Conventional hydroxide precipitation (using lime or caustic soda) often fails to meet these micro-limits, especially when complexing agents, organic ligands, or chelators like EDTA, NTA, or citrates are present in the waste stream. This creates an urgent commercial need for specialized organosulfur-based chelating agents that force heavy metal separation even in the presence of stable organic complexes.

To push chemical innovations, we run a dedicated expert workstation with the Tsinghua University Association of Senior Scientists and Technicians, alongside collaborative laboratories with Shandong University and the Beijing University of Technology. We also serve as the commercialization vehicle for scientific breakthroughs developed at Peking University and Tianjin University.
Our patented technologies, such as the bio-enhanced denitrification carbon source and the deep multi-nuclear phosphorus removal agent, have passed formal appraisals by the Science and Technology Department of Hebei Province, earning designation as "internationally advanced."

Targeted chemical remediation formulas for high-stakes manufacturing, power generation, and port-side infrastructure.
Hamburg metal-finishing shops generating high-concentration plating rinse water can precipitate chelated nickel, chromium, and copper down to compliance limits.
Effective capture of complexed copper ions from ammonia/EDTA washing solutions, preventing discharge excursions in Northern German municipal pipelines.
Purification of port-side bilge water containing suspended oils and heavy metals, enabling safe ocean release under international MARPOL agreements.
Many German firms are looking to diversify their raw material supply chains to manage rising operational costs. Partnering with a large-scale Chinese manufacturer like Smedic offers significant strategic advantages:
Understanding how organosulfur-based precipitating reagents isolate complexed metals at the molecular level.
In industrial wastewater, heavy metals like copper, nickel, and zinc rarely exist in simple ionic states. They are often bound by organic ligands (such as citric acid, EDTA, tartrates, or ammonia complexes) that stabilize the metals in solution. Conventional hydroxide precipitation cannot break these organic bonds, leaving dissolved metals in the discharge stream.
Smedic's advanced heavy metal removal agents contain highly reactive dithiocarbamate groups. These sulfur-donor atoms form stable, multidentate chelate rings with transition metals. The affinity of these groups is significantly higher than that of common organic complexing agents, allowing them to displace ligands at room temperature. This reaction forms dense, insoluble micro-flocs that are easily removed by standard sand filtration or clarifiers.
